Existing Building
archid originally inherited this job from a client who had bought the site with the planning consent in place. Following initial investigations it became apparent that the previous architect’s design strayed onto a neighbour’s land. It was clear that a re-design within the reduced site boundary would be required.
Design Proposals
Following negotiations with the planners we managed to substantially alter and improve the design under a “non material variation” avoiding potential delays and costs to our client. Our revised scheme allowed our client to achieve more marketable flats and also build them in a more economical way.
Outcome
The value for our client was two fold in that our revised scheme added value to the finished flats but also saved him valuable time and money in the build.
